Creamy Pesto Tomato Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound mild ground sausage
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 24 ounce jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 3/4 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1/4 cup basil pesto
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheese - cheddar blend
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Boil pasta until al dente.
  • Cook ground beef, sausage, in olive oil. Add dried basil, garlic powder and salt.
  • Once meat is cooked, add spaghetti sauce, Alfredo sauce, and pesto. Bring to a boil.
  • Drain and add pasta and stir together.
  • Add 1 cup cheese and Parmesan cheese to the mix and stir in.
  • Pour noodles and sauce into a 9 X 13 baking dish and cover the tops with 1/2 cup cheese.
  • Bake for 20 minutes. Serve.
