Place the brown sugar, corn syrup and butter together in a microwave safe dish or in a sauce pan and heat and stir together until the sugar and butter begin to melt.
Add the vanilla extract, salt, pecans and whisked eggs together with the butter and sugar mixture and stir well.
Pour mixture into the prepared pie crust and sprinkle top with salt.
Bake for roughly 40 minutes, then cover with aluminum foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes or until the pie looks baked through and doesn't really jiggle much in the center (a little jiggle is fine).
Cool completely before serving for the best texture.
