Brown Sugar Pecan Pie Recipe

This delicious pecan pie is made with brown sugar and is loaded with pecans and delicious custard filling, it's a favorite at our house.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt -plus more to sprinkle on top
  • 2 cups pecan halves or pieces
  • 3 eggs - whisked together

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 F.
  • Line pie tin with pie crust and then set aside.
  • Place the brown sugar, corn syrup and butter together in a microwave safe dish or in a sauce pan and heat and stir together until the sugar and butter begin to melt.
  • Add the vanilla extract, salt, pecans and whisked eggs together with the butter and sugar mixture and stir well.
  • Pour mixture into the prepared pie crust and sprinkle top with salt.
  • Bake for roughly 40 minutes, then cover with aluminum foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes or until the pie looks baked through and doesn't really jiggle much in the center (a little jiggle is fine).
  • Cool completely before serving for the best texture.
