This easy chicken parmigiana pasta bake is another one of my beloved Italian comfort foods that the whole family loves. It’s also super easy and doesn’t take a lot of time to make.
This chicken parmigiana pasta bake is cheesy, saucy, loaded with tender chicken and noodles. Serve it with a side salad and some garlic bread and it makes for a delicious dinner!
What you need to make chicken parmigiana pasta bake:
Serves 6
- 6-7 chicken tenders
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons garlic – minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
- 12 ounces wide egg noodles
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Toss chicken tenders in flour, discard excess flour.
- In a large oven proof pan, add butter, olive oil, and garlic and turn onto medium-high heat.
- Add chicken tenders and lightly cook on each side for roughly 1 minute each side.
- Add salt, water, spaghetti sauce, Parmesan cheese and stir.
- Add noodles and stir again.
- Bake covered for 30 minutes.
- Remove lid or covering and stir.
- Add mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 10 more minutes uncovered.
- Let cool slightly them serve and enjoy!
