- 1 – 24 ounce jar marinara sauce
- 24 ounces water – I use the marinara sauce jar to measure this
- 12 ounces milk – fill the marinara jar half full to measure
- 2 tablespoons sugar – more or less to taste
- 1/2-1 teaspoon salt – start with 1/2 teaspoon then taste at the end and adjust. This amount will vary with different marinara sauces.
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Add marinara sauce, water, milk, salt and sugar to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Mix together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl and whisk slurry into simmering soup.
- Stir in the grated parmesan, remove from heat and serve.
