Cranberries are bursting with goodness and this Cran-Berry Smoothie just embodies that goodness! I love when they are in season because they are super versatile and can be used in sweet and savory things! However, on their own they are sour and a touch bitter. Add them with other berries and banana to make this smoothie and they are perfectly balanced.
Smoothies are a fan favorite in our household. My kids will often ask me to mix up a smoothie for them and their friends and this is a hit! There’s nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than a fresh fruit smoothie and the combination of sweetness and tart makes this one of my personal favorites! Cranberries may not always be in season. However, cranberries freeze well so fresh or frozen cranberries both work great for this recipe. The banana adds some natural sweetness to help balance out the tartness that comes from both the mixed berries and the cranberries.
