I love this crème de menthe white hot chocolate recipe! It’s the perfect winter or holiday treat with it’s creamy, minty and warm goodness! Perfect to sip on during a chilly winter night.

I have created this recipe to make one 8 ounce cup of this drink. I figured that most of the time this drink is for evening party drinks, mocktails or cocktails made to order or a night cap. My thought is that most people will make it for a small serving.
How much time does this drink take to prepare?
This drink honestly take less than 5 minutes to make! It can be prepared in the microwave for an extra easy and quick preparation. If you would like to make this on a stovetop that can also be done or you can pour hot milk over the ingredients and viola, you have a finished drink! It’s easy peasy!
As you know, crème de menthe is a super strong mint flavoring and tastes a lot like Andes mints. I wanted to showcase and celebrate the strong minty flavor without it being too over powering, I wanted you to be able to detect the white chocolate and have this drink not taste like warm toothpaste. I feel like I achieved the perfect balance of minty-ness and creamy sweetness from the white chocolate in this recipe.

Makes ~8 ounces
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk – any milk of choice will work
- 1/3 cup half and half
- 1 1/2 tablespoons crème de menthe syrup or crème de menthe liqueur
Topping:
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- In a microwave safe mug or if using a stovetop, then a small sauce pan, add the white chocolate chips, milk and half and half then stir.
- Microwave in 30 second increments, stir after each round or heat over low heat, stirring slowing until the white chocolate chips have melted and the liquid is hot.
- Add the crème de menthe syrup or liqueur and stir again.
- Top with whipped cream and enjoy.
