What you need to make this instant pot tomatillo pork:
Makes 2 1/2 pound pork
- 2 1/2 pound pork picnic, butt or shoulder roast
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 8 ounces green chilies
- 16 ounces tomatillo salsa or salsa verde
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Place pork roast into instant pot with black pepper, salt, celery salt, chili powder, green chilies, tomatillo salsa, garlic powder and sugar.
- Cook on high pressure for 40 minutes with a quick pressure release.
- Once instant pot is open, shred pork with a fork or use a standing mixer with a paddle or dough hook with the sauce that it is cooked in.
- Serve with sauce from cooking and enjoy.
