I love this air fryer poutine! It’s incredibly delicious and one of those meals my husband comes back for seconds on, which tells you it’s binge worthy. A total comfort food meal! An added bonus is it takes just about 30 minutes to pull together prep to finish.

The potatoes get cooked up in the air fryer while we quickly make the delicious gravy. I debated on what to call this recipes because it is essentially just poutine where the potatoes are cooked to perfection in the air fryer but I figured if I love cooking it in the air fryer than other will too. So if you are here then high-five, we are on the same wave length.

I first had poutine about 11 years ago in New York City at a little tiny poutine shop, I was instantly obsessed! It got pregnant right after that trip and I craved poutine the whole pregnancy. I lived in a smaller town in southern utah where poutine was no where to be found so I made due with mashed potatoes and gravy but it’s not the same. Poutine has it own charm and luckily it is easy to make at home.

This recipe makes a little extra gravy because the gravy amount used is subject to who ever is serving this dish up. Plus it calls for 14 ounce cans of broth and I like to use the whole can when I cook so I don’t waste any leftover broth. You can cut the gravy in half if you don’t like a lot of gravy.

I like to add popcorn chicken to this dish too because it adds some protein and makes it feel more like a main course. It honestly tastes like thanksgiving dinner that way. I just use frozen pre-made popcorn chicken, it cooks in the air fryer in about 4 minutes so it’s perfect for a quick addition.
