Garlic Lemon Butter Pasta Sauce

This garlic lemon butter pasta sauce is great for any kind of pasta. It is super easy to put together! I love to use it with ravioli’s! It’s flavor packed, easy to make and tastes so delicious!

I used this sauce with these balsamic lemon artichoke and olive ravioli’s I got from a local lady who hand made them! Aren’t they beautiful! They were super delicious and my whole family loved eating them! You can use any ravioli flavors you like.

I also love to eat this sauce with plain pasta, like spaghetti, angel hair, penne, mostaccioli, bow ties, etc. This sauce also tastes great over chicken, veal or pork, especially if you dip the chicken in flour and then cook it in this sauce, but that’s another recipe. Anyways, point is this sauce is very versatile.

If you sauté the pasta in this sauce for a few minutes it will brown the pasta and give it this lovely caramelization and crisp to the outsides. It’s not a necessary step but if you are wondering how I got the color on this ravioli that is how it is done.

That you need to make garlic lemon butter pasta sauce:

Makes enough for 8 ounces dry pasta

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, add salted butter, olive oil, garlic and lemon zest.
  2. Sauté for a minute until garlic gets fragrant.
  3. Add lemon juice, salt and parmesan cheese along with pasta.
  4. Stir around pasta until it gets fully coated. Optional step – If you want some color and crisp on the pasta, continue stirring until it gets nice and golden.
  5. Remove from heat, salt and add more parmesan cheese to taste and enjoy!

  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic – minced
  • 1 lemon zested
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • generous pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese – optional
  • 1/2 pound cooked pasta – any type
