Peanut Butter Oat Smoothie

This peanut butter oat smoothie is smooth and creamy and the perfect breakfast that is packed with protein, healthy fats, fiber and nutrients! This smoothie has about 12 grams of protein per serving! It also has no protein powder it’s gluten free and vegan, though it can be made with dairy too if desired. It’s delicious, filling, quick and easy to make!

The protein in this smoothie comes from the hemp seeds, peanut butter, oats and whatever milk you want to use. The nutritional stats on this recipe will vary slightly depending on the type of ingredients you use. I like to use unsweetened almond milk so that adds about 1 gram of protein per serving to the recipe. however, if you used oat milk it would add about 2 grams protein or dairy milk would add 6 grams of protein, so it’s really just personal preference on which milk you use.

  • 1 1/2 cups milk of choice or water can also be used
  • 1/2 cup old fashion oats – dry
  • 3 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter – smooth or crunchy depending on preference
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon honey – optional
  • 1 1/2 cups ice

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
