This keto cheddar jalapeno bread is delicious and super low carb! It’s comparable in taste to a cheddar and jalapeno bagel but without the carbs. I like to top it with cream cheese or use it as bread for a sandwich.
You can use diced chilies instead of jalapenos too and they both taste delicious in this recipe. This recipe should be stored in your refrigerator in a zip lock bag and will last for a few days.
What you need to make keto cheddar jalapeno bread:
makes 1 loaf
- 1 cup almond flour – super fine ground works best
- 1/4 cup flour or gluten free baking mix
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup sliced pickled jalapenos – diced OR diced green chilies
- 1 cup cheddar or cheddar jack cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Add the almond flour, flour and salt together and stir.
- Add diced jalapenos, and cheddar cheese and stir so they get coated in the flour mixtures.
- Add the eggs and sour cream and mix until batter is well mixed.
- Line a bread pan with parchment paper or grease well and add batter into pan.
- Bake bread for 30-35 minutes or until the bread is cooked through, you can tell by pressing on the center of the bread and if it’s not wet but bounces back slightly then it is done.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
- Enjoy!
