This pear berry citrus smoothie is the perfect fall and winter smoothie because it uses all fall and winter fruits. I am a believer in eating seasonally so this smoothie really speaks to me on that not note.
My 7 year old was the inspiration behind this recipe and requests it because he loves pears. I love the combo too! This smoothie is also a great way to sneak in some vitamins and fiber into kids and adults diets.
If you have any extra smoothie leftover; save it in a sandwich sized zip lock bag and freeze it for later. When you want to eat it, pull it out and let it set for a little while or set the bag in hot water for a few minutes. Then it should be soft enough to re-blend in the blender with a little more water or juice or you can use a fork to chunk it up for a yummy smoothie slushy.
