Pumpkin Spiced Rice Crispy Treats

These pumpkin spiced rice crispy treats are so perfect for fall and the holidays! They are dangerously gooey and delicious and they are so fast to make! You can easily whip these up in 10 minutes prep to finish and everyone will love them!

They do not have any pumpkin in them because that would make the rice crispies soggy but the seasoning totally mimics your favorite pumpkin pie spiced dessert! The brown sugar also give this a browned butter taste and that really brings out the spices. If you decide to use pecans on top the nuttiness works great with the brown sugar and spices too.

You may want to double this batch because if you have pumpkin spice lovers around they will go quickly!

What you need to make pumpkin spiced rice crispy treats:

Makes 1 – 9 x 13 pan

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 4 cups rice crispies
  • 1/4 cup pecans – optional
  • sprinkle of cinnamon – optional

Instructions

  1. Add brown sugar, butter, pumpkin pie spice and marshmallows to a microwave safe bowl and heat for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted and softened.
  2. Stir mixture together then add rice crispies to the bowl.
  3. stir together well then press into a 9 x 13 pan.
  4. If adding pecans, sprinkle the tops with pecans and gently press into the tops as you press down and smooth the treats into the pan.
  5. Sprinkle tops with a little cinnamon, allow to cool then slice and enjoy!
