This sausage and cabbage stir fry is a super easy dinner recipe with is packed with lots of vitamins and nutrients! It’s a balanced dish between sweet and savory. My family loves this dish and I love it because it comes together in just about 20 minutes prep to finish.

I use chicken and apple sausage in this recipe but you can use any sausage that you would like or have on hand and it will tastes great.

What you need to make sausage and cabbage stir fry:
Serves 4
- 1/2 cup bell peppers – any color
- 2 green onions – diced
- 2 cups green cabbage – thinly sliced
- 2 cups purple cabbage – thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger – finely minced or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon garlic – minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Pinch of salt
- 3 sausages – sliced into bite size rounds
- 1 cup pineapple – if using canned drain the juice
- 2 cup cooked rice – white or brown
Instructions
- Add bell peppers, green onions, green cabbage, purple cabbage, fresh ginger, garlic and sesame oil to a large pan and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes or until they start to soften.
- Add soy sauce, pinch of salt and honey to pan and cook for 2 minutes more.
- Add sliced sausages, pineapple chunks and cooked rice and stir until rice, sausage and pineapple are warm.
