This sage BBQ rub tastes great on any meat you want to add a dry rub to. It’s herby but still has the underlying flavors of a barbecue. It works great with sauces added onto it or on it’s own.
I love using ground sage, it’s a comforting herb that really helps bring out the natural flavors in the protein or vegetables you are using it with.
Spice rubs are such a great way to infuse your meals with good flavors and they are easy to make on your own. This rub recipe can be made then stored in the cupboard for a long period of time. The ingredients in this rub are also really inexpensive to buy and chances are you have almost all of them in your spice cupboard.
I use this sage BBQ rub on my black cherry and molasses BBQ pork ribs (RECIPE HERE) and on my Tart cherry BBQ ribs (RECIPE HERE) and it gives them a great base flavor!
