What you need to make air fryed onion rings:
serves 3-4 people
- 1 large onion
For flour mixture:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For egg mixture:
- 2 eggs
For milk mixture:
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon pickle juice
For cooking:
- cooking oil spray
Instructions
- Grab 3 large bowls.
- In one bowl combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk 2 eggs.
- In another bowl, add egg, milk and pickle juice.
- Slice the onion into ~1 inch rounds. Take out the smaller middle sections unless you want to bread and bake them too.
- Dip onions in flour mixture.
- Then dip into egg mixture.
- Back into flour mixture.
- Into milk mixture then back into flour mixture.
- Set each onion ring into the air fryer and stack so there is room for each onion ring to cook and get crisp.
- When ready to cook, spray each side of the onion ring with a spritz of oil.
- Bake on 400 F. for 10 minutes.
