I think everyone needs a good banana bread recipe. It’s incredibly nostalgic and the smells coming from the oven when it bakes are like a sensory time machine that transports me back in time. It makes me feel like I am providing a warm, safe, loving home (which I strive to always provide for my family) and I feel that all is right with the world. That is the power of banana bread.
On a more practical application note, everyone has had bananas that get to that point where you either freeze them, make banana bread or muffins or throw them out. So here is my banana bread recipe.
