I love this steak and meat marinade! This marinade can be used with pork, chicken or any cut of beef! I used a skirt steak in pictures and it is a tougher cut of meat so a marinade really helps tenderize it. This marinade gives it a delicious flavor as well. The meat can then be pan fried or grilled. I love to serve mine with my basil and cilantro chimichurri sauce RECIPE HERE.
What you need to make skirt steak marinade:
marinates ~2 pounds of skirt steak or any other meat.
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- In a bowl or zip lock bag, mix together all marinade ingredients.
- Next, add the meat to the zip lock bag or covered bowl then let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. The more you let it marinade the stronger the flavors will be, marinade up to 24 hours.
- Grill or pan fry meat, be watchful of the time the meat spends on each side as the honey in the marinade will caramelize and could burn, regulate heat as needed.
