What you need to make this easy cheese sauce:
makes ~ 2 cups sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup whipping cream or milk
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a small sauce pan, over medium heat, add butter and sprinkle flour over melting butter.
- Next, whisk the flour and butter together until flour is dissolved into the butter.
- Add cream, water and salt and whisk mixture together until smooth.
- Bring mixture to a boil and boil for 2-3 minutes whisking continuously.
- Now add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until all is incorporated.
- Remove from heat and serve.
