This stir fried cabbage is a easy, low carb and a delicious stir fried noodle substitute. You can also serve it along side or on top of noodles and it will tastes great too! I love it under my honey pecan shrimp, you can find that recipe HERE.
I love cabbage because it fills me up and when served warm it gives my tummy the feeling of having a great comfort food dinner but it’s totally healthy! It’s one of my favorite ways to cut carbs out of a recipe for those reasons. Plus, it’s easy to make and pennies to buy!
What you need to make stir fried cabbage:
serves 2
- 2 cups purple or green cabbage sliced into strips (they don’t have to be perfect, we are just replicating a noodle)
- 2 green onions – diced
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Fresh green onions, diced for on top
Instructions
- In a pan, add sesame oil and cabbage. Heat over medium high heat as your stir the cabbage for 4 minutes or until cabbage begins to wilt.
- Add green onions, garlic powder and soy sauce and cook for another 4 minutes.
- Once cabbage is softened, remove from pan and top with diced green onions.
- Serve.
