What you need to make oven baked butternut squash “fries”:

- 1 large butternut squash – skinned and cut into batons
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- dash of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 F.
- Skin and prepare the butternut squash.
- Mix the egg and milk in one bowl.
- In another bowl combine flour and spices.
- Toss the squash in the egg mixture then toss in the flour mixture.
- Toss in Italian bread crumbs.
- Place on a lined cookie sheet and bake for 40 minutes.
