This chocolate buttercream frosting is super simple to make and adds the perfect chocolaty goodness to any dessert!
What you need
Makes enough to frost 1 – 2 layer cake or 1 standard 9 x 13 cake or 18 cupcakes
6 tablespoons butter – softened
7 cups powdered sugar – just shy of 2 pounds
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 – 1/2 cup milk – Depending on the thickness desired, I frost my cakes with 1/2 cup thickness but my sandwich cookies with 1/3 cup thickness.
Instructions
Blend all ingredients in a large bowl with an electric mixer with a whisk attachment. It can also be blended by hand with a whisk.
