Delicious, creamy Banana cream pie! This pie has a group of dedicated aficionado’s and rightfully so! It tastes delicious and is super easy to make!
I have two variations of this pie, this easy version that uses pudding mix and the made from scratch version with homemade pudding. That recipe is coming very soon! Both are delicious and great for different reasons. This recipe is super easy and quick the other is a little more authentic and old school.
What you need to make this easy banana cream pie:
Makes 1 – 9 inch pie
- 1 – 9 inch pie shell – baked and cooled
- 1 – 3.5 ounce package of instant banana pudding
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 bananas sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
- 2 cups sweetened whipped cream
Instructions
- Blend instant pudding with milk and heavy cream.
- Whip with a whisk until mixture is thickened and creamy.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Top with sliced bananas then cover with whipped cream.
*note – if you make this a day ahead of time the pudding will pull some of the salt from the crust and give it a slightly saltier taste, still good but for sweeter pie make the day of.
