Coconut Buttercream Frosting
This is the best coconut buttercream frosting ever! It’s silky and flavorful! I use this base for both my coconut cupcakes (Recipe Here) and my German chocolate cupcakes (Recipe here)!
What you need
1/2 cup softened salted butter
1/4 cup reduced coconut milk
(to make reduced coconut milk simmer canned coconut milk for 35 minutes. Can be made ahead of time and stored in refrigerator or freezer. you can also use non-reduced coconut milk from a can or coconut cream but the coconut flavor won’t be quite as strong.}
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
1 pound powdered sugar
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, with a whisk attachment blend all of the ingredients together until a smooth creamy frosting forms.
