Dukkah Spice blend is an Egyptian spice blend that is made from ground nuts like almonds, hazelnuts or pistachios with added spices like coriander, cumin, sesame seeds, salt and pepper.
Some variations of this blend have added fennel seed and other spices or citrus zests. You can add them to this blend if you want. I like this blend because it isn’t overpowering but still delicious, it’s clean and simple. The more spices you add the busier the flavors become but that is completely up to you, optional add in’s are listed below with the recipe.
It is great when used with different proteins, vegetables or used with breads. I have a few recipes on here that use it that I will list below:

What you need to make dukkah spice blend:
Makes ~3/4 cup
- 1/2 cup crush or ground Hazelnuts or almonds or pistachios You can also do a mix of all three
- 1 tablespoon Ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- chili flakes – optional
- citrus zest – optional
- fennel seeds – optional
Instructions
- Blend all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
