Stone fruit sorbet!! This stuff is sweet summer in a bowl! Peach, nectarine and plums make up this simple and delicious (and yes even healthy) dessert!
I love stone fruits and when they are in season this sorbet is a easy and delicious option. It’s dairy free, gluten free and healthy!
What you need to make stone fruit sorbet:
serves 6 people
3 Peaches Peeled and pitted 2 Nectarines Peeled and Pitted 2 Plums Pitted 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice 1/2 cup Simple Syrup |
Simple syrup:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
To make simple syrup:
Heat water and sugar in pan or microwave until sugar is dissolved .
INSTRUCTIONS
- If using an ice cream maker, prepare ahead of time.
- To make Simple syrup combine 1/2 cup water with 1/2 cup sugar and heat in sauce pan over medium high heat until sugar is dissolved or microwave mixture for about 1 1/2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Let mixture cool before adding to sorbet recipe.
- Peel and pit the peaches and Nectarines.
- Pit the Plums but leave the skins on.
- In a blender, Combine the fruits with Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup and blend until smooth.
- Pour into prepared ice cream maker or freeze and stir every 45 mintues until frozen.
- You can also make this in a zip lock bag by pouring 1/2 of the mixture into a gallon sized bag and sealing well then placing that bag inside of another zip lock bag that has 3 tablespoons salt and 2 cups ice in it. Seal that bag too and begin shaking and working the mixture until it freezes.
